Celebrating the Seeds Book Trilogy

We gathered to celebrate and have a public reflection on a series of three books connected to the Antigonish Movement, the Coady International Institute and its tradition of radical adult education for social change.

The trilogy of books follows a metaphorical arc:

1. Seeds - the foundational adult education philosophy and practice at the Coady Institute

2. Sprouts - how that learning showed up in the lives/work of graduates globally

3. Roots - how that learning was contextualized, adapted, and grounded in different places over time.

A core theme woven through the whole event was hope — not as naïve optimism, but as something practiced through learning, solidarity, and real-world work.
